What’s the best question you ask or have been asked?
I love great questions. Great questions are powerful teachers. They inspire deeper reflection. They create important space for listening to God and others.
Back in university, as a fairly new follower of Jesus, I remember a leader asking me, “Steve, are you a Christian who happens to be a student or are you a student who happens to be a Christian?” This key question helped me to reflect on whether or not God was the center of my life.
As Peter Drucker has said, “The leader of the past was a person who told; the leader of the future will be a person who asks.”
In this episode of The Polished Arrow Podcast, “Tick Tock” with special guest Dr. Calvin Brown, you will encounter three life-defining questions. Calvin serves as co-pastor of Destiny Church and executive director of The Edge, a unique community hub that intersects culture by redeeming secular space. Based in Twinsburg, Ohio, Calvin is an alumnus of the Arrow Leadership Program™ and his intentionality and gift of asking great questions are great assets as he mentors and trains leaders in our programs.
Too often we keep our heads-down and grind away on the treadmill of life and work. Built around Psalm 90, this episode invites you to slow down, reflect and ponder three powerful questions for your life and for your team/organization. Taking these questions to heart will help you “number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).
