The Arrow Leadership Program - Emerging Stream extends learning over time through four five-day residential experiences over two years.

Our proven, integrated and wholistic approach to leader development includes:

Personal 360 Degree Assessment Process

A proven combination of psychological instruments and leadership inventories provides honest and objective feedback to aid self-awareness and developmental focus.

Practical Leadership Training

Arrow's dynamic modular training style utilizes proven Christian leadership specialists, providing a wealth of experience and a solid biblical worldview on issues of critical importance for 21st century leadership.

Four Layers of Mentoring

A gifted on-site mentor, trained local mentor, peer leadership cluster and the Arrow team provide prayerful care, wise counsel and loving challenge to enable each leader to personally process learning and develop long-lasting networks.

Customized Personal Leadership Development Plan

Each Arrow leader develops a customized leadership development plan to intentionally guide, focus and measure progress during the Arrow journey and beyond.

Academic Standing

Significant academic credit toward a Doctor of Ministry degree is offered by Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Acadia Divinity School for participants of the Arrow Leadership Program. In addition, Wheaton College Graduate School offers significant credit and tution discount toward their Master of Arts in Evangelism and Leadership. Masters-level transfer credit is also available through many other seminaries across North America.

Cultivating Call, Character and Competency

Designed for personal, pastoral and ministry leadership development, the Arrow Leadership Program - Emerging Stream equips proven leaders (ages 25-40) in four key areas:

Biblical Leadership

Candidate Criteria


We are not looking for just any leaders. Arrow looks to pour into the lives of a select few men and women serving in church, denominational and parachurch ministry. These dynamic leaders are:

Christian men and women, between the ages of 25 and 40, who:

  • have proven themselves through leading for at least three years in church, denomination, parachurch or mission contexts.

  • have a deep desire to 'be led more by Jesus, to lead more like Jesus and to lead more to Jesus.'

  • have, at minimum, completed an undergraduate degree and desire to deeply engage in on-going practical learning for life and ministry leadership.

  • are seeking a personalized approach to their wholistic development that includes 360 degree assessment feedback, four layers of mentoring and a customized approach to targeting personal and professional development.

  • are committed to contributing to and receiving from a safe and diverse community over time.

  • have the support of their spouse, family and organization.

Program Costs and Awards


The Arrow Leadership Program includes four five-day residential training experiences, accommodations and meals, airport transfers, intensive 360 degree assessment with professional debrief, and four layers of mentoring.

Fees

The total cost of the Emerging stream is $16,000. However, Arrow Leadership is committed to raising 50% of the program cost, bringing the participant cost to $8,000.

Fees are payable in seven installments scheduled quarterly over the duration of the program. Automatic payments through post-dated cheques, credit cards (on file), PayPal, bank drafts, and wire transfers are all acceptable. Once leaders have been accepted into the program they will be financially responsible for their 'spot' in the class as it is impossible for us to fill vacant positions once the class is into the assessment process 3 months prior to the first residential.

Time Commitment, Dates, Locations, and Details


Time Commitment

This stream takes 24 months to complete. Leaders complete required readings, assignments, and mentoring throughout the 24 months, and experience four week long residentials.

  1. Pre-residential: 3 hours for assessment inventories, reading approximately 4 books, completing 3-4 practical assignments
  2. Residentials: 4 five-day residentials
  3. Between residentials: 2-3 hours for monthly mentoring, reading approximately 4 books, completing 3-4 practical assignments, 4-6 hours to meet with your leadership cluster of peers

Dates and Locations

Classes for the Emerging stream of the Arrow Leadership Program, comprising twenty-four selected leaders are formed each year. Residentials generally run Sunday through Friday. Key Supporters are invited to join two days of the fourth residential which includes a module on Relationships of a Leader as well as the Arrow Graduation Banquet.

We are always taking applications as new classes start on a regular basis. The dates and locations for the next classes are as follows:
