These directors of Arrow around the world have a reason to smile!
The directors of the Arrow Alliance signed a historic partnership agreement at their summit meeting outside of Toronto, Canada on October 18, 2007 which outlines a framework and strategy to catapult Arrow forward in their ministry of developing leaders.
The new partnership agreement allows us to move forward with a confidence as we strategically build the Alliance
The partnership has outlined the criteria by which they will strategically engage in the development of leaders around the world through strategic partnerships with indigenous leaders who share their passion for transforming Christian leaders who will be led more by Jesus, lead more like Jesus and lead more to Jesus.
Currently situated in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, United Kingdom, and the United States, the first action of the Alliance was to formally welcome Arrow Ireland to the Alliance.
Dr. Carson Pue of the Vancouver office of Arrow currently serves as the "primus inter pare" - first among equals - to chair the Alliance. Pue states, "Ireland has met and exceeded our criteria expectations and we are very excited about seeing Christian leaders in both the North and South of Ireland united through Arrow Leadership. Ed Vaughn, new director of Arrow Ireland, is an Arrow alumnus who has been called by God to take up the call to develop God's leaders and we believe that there are more alumni who have the ability and call to consider joining the Arrow Alliance for the sake of leadership development in their cultures."
Karl Faase of Arrow Australia adds, "The new partnership agreement allows us to move forward with confidence as we strategically build the Alliance. We have selected five countries we are concentrating on as we leave the meetings in Canada: Germany, Denmark, South Africa, Ethiopia and SE Asia. Members at this meeting are committed to mentoring new directors in these countries and we would love to add at least two to the Alliance at our next summit gathering."
James Lawrence, director of Arrow England, was elected to take the baton of PIP (primus inter pare) when the Alliance gather in 2009 in Europe. Lawrence says that the 17 years of experience represented in Alliance will allow leadership development programs to get a significant jump ahead in developing leaders in other countries. "By allowing others to use the name of Arrow Leadership and having access to the resources we have along with our commitment to mentor new directors means the finely tuned Arrow Leadership Program can be scaled to a variety of settings and delivered at an exceptional level."
