What is the Arrow Alliance network?

The Arrow Alliance is a network of leadership development programs training emerging leaders around the world. Through intensive seminars, reading, projects, mentoring and peer groups, the Arrow Leadership Program equips young men and women to “be led more by Jesus, lead more like Jesus and lead more to Jesus.”

Our vision is to train leaders worldwide by allowing leaders in countries around the world to implement the Arrow model in their local contexts. Arrow was launched in North America and has expanded to the United Kingdom, Poland, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. New programs are being mentored into existence today, and we have a vision to reach leaders in up to 3 new nations by 2009.

Partnering ministries in the Arrow Alliance hold many things in common:

1. Polishing emerging Christian leaders worldwide
Arrow holds as a core value “Kingdom seeking, not empire building.” We encourage all of our Arrow leaders to work together and as a ministry we model this through our strategic partnerships. As an alliance, we can benefits and ministry beyond the reach of our individual networks.

2. Working together to support emerging leaders
Together, we represent staff teams and volunteers committed to supporting emerging leaders with over 1100 leaders who themselves work in over 18 countries. Working together makes our ministries more effective.

3. Local Leadership
We keep it simple and seek indigenous ownership. Leadership training must be culturally appropriate, so we allow like-minded local leaders to tailor the program to the needs of their area.

4. Continued Relationships with Graduates
One of the strengths of the program is the emphasis on continuing to grow and develop.

5. Greater rewards for Arrow Alliance partners
We strive to reward participants in the Arrow Alliance to make their ministries as effective as possible.

International Partners in the Arrow Alliance receive a number of benefits:

• Annual conferences to encourage one another, share resources and discern which new countries the Lord is guiding towards starting Arrow Leadership
• Mentorships from established leaders
• Resources and curriculum guides developed over years of developing leaders
• Connections with seminaries and schools that give academic credit
• Opportunities for students and alumni to meet and work together
• Online discussion forums to keep students connected and graduates involved
• Access to seminars – directors of international Arrow Alliance programs are welcome to participate as trainers or observers with other countries

Arrow Alliance partners are also willing to share trainers and alumni to greater enhance the development of leaders around the world. In that we have been developing leaders since 1991, we now have over 1100 alumni worldwide giving leadership to ministry, training or evangelism needs. Whenever you travel in the Arrow Alliance world we can arrange meetings on site with our partners in order to enhance your experience. And, when you need help within your own sphere of influence, you may draw from the combined knowledge of the global team and network to assist you. For countries and partners just joining the Arrow Alliance – you may be assigned mentors from other nations to serve you in your own program development.

Each partner in the Arrow Alliance is enabled to utilize the name of the Arrow Leadership Program along with resources and curriculum guides developed over the ten years of working with hundreds of leaders. In some nations “Arrow Leadership Program” does not translate well so other names are utilized while still being recognized as full members of the Alliance. Our seminary and college partners also share the same heart for developing emerging leaders and as such serve with Arrow to further enhance our impact for the Kingdom.

6. Smoother referrals
We place great emphasis on relationships and service together, especially to emerging Christian leaders and their mentors. We are therefore committed to connecting relationships for the sake of ministry and encourage our alumni and partners to help facilitate the efforts of one another

8. Access to Alumni and Seminars
The Arrow Alliance partners provide over 20 leadership and evangelism training seminars across the globe. If you are an Arrow Alliance member, you will have access to be an observer, trainer or guest as can be arranged without hardship to the host. At certain periods, access to seminars may be restricted due to capacity constraints or local finances. Your ability to come with a servant attitude and offer yourself to the host partner greatly enhances their ministry.
