Kevin Vincent - Apohaqui Community Church

In the fall of 1996 Kevin and Sandra and their children returned to Kevin’s home town of Apohaqui, NB (“where two rivers meet”) to re-plant a church of 6 folks. The little community itself is home to about 300 people. Ten years later Apohaqui Community Church continues to thrive and grow. From initially meeting in a local school, the church has in the past 6 years gone through two major capital campaigns, building a multi-purpose worship and recreational facility along with a Children’s Centre that is worth in excess of 2.5 million dollars.

This “church in the hayfield” has developed into a regional ministry in southern New Brunswick and now welcomes over 500 people and offers multiple weekend worship services. The Apohaqui Church from its very beginning committed itself to serving the family and has become known in the region as “the church for kids”.

ACC is deeply committed to serving the greater community in which it exists as well. A recent year long strategic planning process resulted in a 10 year plan of becoming a true Acts 2 Church. That plan involves the launching of multi-site congregations, seeking & casting a clear Global strategy, as well as the development of a non-profit organization called LifeBuilders committed to serving the local community needs in terms of senior’s housing, single parent housing, family & financial counseling and the development of a complete family recreational area.
